Poverty 
​According  to  the 2013  census,  22,265  persons were living  in  poverty  in  Las  Cruces,  NM.    There 23.1% of all Las Cruces residents living in poverty compared to 20.4% nationally. Rates were highest among black and Hispanic households followed closely by American Indian, Alaska Native, and Asian households.
